There is a lot to know about the wonderful Selma Blair and her career in Hollywood plus some of the finer details of her personal life. Selma was born in the state of Michigan in a town called Southfield. The daughter of a judge named Molly, Selma also has three sisters. Though Selma attended a high school for Jewish children, she shows no real signs of being a fanatical Jewish follower. Like many of the actors and actresses these days, Selma is a college-educated girl who did her degree in Michigan at the University of Michigan.

Selma also studied acting classes at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting. It was the mid 1990s when Selma Blair first appeared in her first movie role that was only the beginning for this talented actress. The year was 1996 when Selma played the part of a character named Pretzel Cart who was a lesbian character. A tough role to play for a first movie considering Selma is a straight girl however she nailed the role and was immediately asked to do more work in acting. In the same year she played another easy role in the movie Brian Candy.

A year later Selma played one role that millions of people will remember from the movie Scream 2 but three years later she was one of the main actresses in Cruel Intentions and this was another blockbuster movie. Other movies to remember Selma in are Legally Blonde, A Guy Thing, starring role in Hellboy, the Fog and for 2010 you can see her in the movie Columbus Circle.
